Performance of a contract
We may process information where this is necessary to provide services requested by you, including creating or maintaining an account, storing betting records and providing betting analytics or other Sharp Ledger functionality.
Legitimate interests
We may process information where necessary for our legitimate interests, including operating and improving Sharp Ledger, protecting our systems, preventing abuse and fraud, maintaining Website security, diagnosing technical problems and developing the service. Where legitimate interests are relied upon, we consider whether those interests are overridden by your rights and freedoms.

No optional analytics or advertising services are currently enabled. If we introduce non-essential analytics, behavioural analytics, session replay or advertising measurement, we will explain the provider and purpose, update our policies and ask for consent before enabling optional tracking. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
Legal obligations
We may process information where necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements, court orders or lawful requests from public authorities.
5. Analytics, tracking and advertising technologies
The services below are potential future integrations. Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel are not currently enabled. Their descriptions explain possible functionality, not current data collection. Before introducing any optional service, we will update the service inventory and these policies, explain its purpose and ask again. Accepting the current cookie preference is not permission to activate a new tracker later.
Google Analytics
If introduced, Google Analytics, provided by Google, could help us understand how visitors use Sharp Ledger. Google Analytics may process page views, session information, approximate location, browser and device information, referral information, interactions with Website features and unique or pseudonymous identifiers. Google Analytics may use cookies to distinguish users and sessions. It could be used to measure traffic, understand Website usage and improve Sharp Ledger, but it is not currently enabled.
Vercel Analytics
Sharp Ledger is hosted and operated using technology provided by Vercel. Hosting is separate from Vercel Web Analytics, which is not currently enabled. Vercel Analytics may provide information about page views, visitors, referring websites, country or region, browser type, operating system, device information and custom events where configured. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to provide privacy-focused analytics and may operate without traditional tracking cookies.
PostHog
If introduced, PostHog could provide product analytics to help us understand how users interact with Sharp Ledger. It is not currently enabled. Depending on our configuration, PostHog may process pages visited, feature usage, clicks, navigation, events, device and browser information, session information, identifiers, user journeys and interactions with Website functionality. PostHog may use cookies, browser storage or other identifiers depending on how the service is configured. Where session replay is enabled, PostHog may record Website interactions to help us understand usability and identify technical problems. We aim to configure analytics and session recording so that sensitive information is not intentionally recorded.
Microsoft Clarity
If introduced, Microsoft Clarity could help us understand how users interact with Sharp Ledger. It is not currently enabled. Clarity provides behavioural analytics that may include page views, clicks, scrolling, navigation, device and browser information, session information, heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity uses pseudonymous identifiers to associate interactions and page views with a browsing session. Where required, Clarity will only operate after appropriate consent has been provided.
Meta Pixel
If introduced, Meta Pixel, provided by Meta, could support advertising measurement and attribution. It is not currently enabled. Meta Pixel may help us understand whether a person visited Sharp Ledger following an advertisement, pages visited, Website interactions, conversions, device and browser information, advertising identifiers and campaign performance. Information collected through Meta Pixel may be transmitted to Meta and may be associated with information Meta already holds about a user in accordance with Meta’s own privacy practices. Meta Pixel is treated as a marketing or advertising technology and will only be activated where appropriate consent has been obtained when required by law.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Sharp Ledger currently uses cookies and browser storage for authentication, account security, preferences, Website functionality and remembering cookie choices. Clerk provides authentication and session cookies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where legally permitted. Optional analytics, session replay and advertising tracking are not currently enabled. Your cookie preference is stored in this browser under sl-cookie-consent for up to 180 days and does not authorise unspecified future services. Further information is available in our Cookie Policy.
7. Third-party service providers
To operate Sharp Ledger, we may share information with service providers including:
- Google, for Google Analytics, only if introduced as an optional service;
- Vercel, for current hosting and infrastructure; Vercel Web Analytics is a separate potential future service;
- PostHog, for product analytics and related functionality, only if introduced;

- Clerk, our authentication provider;

- email service providers;
- payment providers where applicable;
- security providers; and
- technical support providers.
These providers may process personal data on our behalf or, in some circumstances, act as separate or joint controllers for certain processing activities. Their processing is also subject to their respective privacy policies and contractual terms.
Sharp Ledger does not sell users' personal data.
8. International transfers
Some of our technology providers operate internationally and may process personal data outside Malta or the European Economic Area (“EEA”), including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we take steps intended to ensure that an appropriate legal mechanism is in place where required. Safeguards may include European Commission adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or other legally recognised safeguards.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information.
- account information may be retained while your account remains active;
- betting records may be retained until you delete them or your account;

- if optional analytics is introduced, its retention settings will be explained before activation; and
- information may be retained where necessary to comply with law or defend legal claims.
When information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise disposed of where reasonably practicable.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, disclosure, alteration, destruction and misuse. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure.
11. Your GDPR rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- obtain a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate personal data;
- request deletion of personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to certain processing;
- receive certain personal data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
These rights may be subject to limitations under applicable law. To exercise your rights, contact contact@sharpledger.bet. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
12. Withdrawing analytics and advertising consent
Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject optional cookies, or save your selection. No optional trackers are currently enabled. Choices are specific to your browser and device and expire after 180 days; we ask again if the optional-service setup changes. Rejecting optional cookies does not disable your account, calculators or articles. Closing settings without saving does not change your choice. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn. Any future optional integration must stop consent-based tracking when consent is withdrawn.
13. Account deletion
Where user accounts are available, you may request deletion of your account by contacting contact@sharpledger.bet. Certain information may be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal claims.
14. Betting information
Betting information entered into Sharp Ledger is primarily processed to provide tracking and statistical functionality. Sharp Ledger does not use this information to place bets on your behalf, operate a bookmaker account on your behalf or hold gambling funds. Users should avoid entering unnecessary personal or sensitive information into free-text fields.
15. Children's privacy
Sharp Ledger is intended only for adults. Sharp Ledger and its betting-related tools are not intended for persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a person under 18 where it should not have been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
16. Third-party websites
Sharp Ledger may link to bookmakers, sporting websites, data providers or other third-party services. Third-party websites operate independently and have their own privacy practices. Sharp Ledger is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Sharp Ledger changes, new services are introduced, technology providers change, our data processing practices change or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on Sharp Ledger with an updated revision date. Where appropriate, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
18. Complaints
If you have a concern about how your personal data is processed, please contact contact@sharpledger.bet. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For users in Malta, the relevant supervisory authority is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), Malta.
