This Cookie Policy explains how Sharp Ledger, available at sharpledger.bet, uses cookies and similar technologies.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Current setup: No optional analytics or advertising trackers are currently enabled. Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity and Meta Pixel are potential future integrations only. The provider descriptions and example cookies below do not mean those services are currently active.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies and similar technologies can be used to keep users logged in, maintain security, remember preferences, measure Website usage, understand how users interact with Website features, measure advertising performance and provide Website functionality. Cookies can be temporary session cookies or persistent cookies that remain on your device for a defined period.
2. Similar technologies
Sharp Ledger may also use browser local storage, session storage, authentication tokens, pixels, tags, scripts, pseudonymous identifiers and similar browser technologies. In this Cookie Policy, references to cookies generally include these technologies where appropriate.
3. Categories of technologies
Strictly necessary technologies
These technologies are required to provide core Website functionality. Our authentication provider, Clerk, uses cookies for sign-in and session security. These cannot be disabled through the optional-cookie controls; blocking them in your browser may prevent account features from working. They may be used for authentication, maintaining login sessions, account security, fraud prevention, maintaining Website functionality, remembering cookie choices and providing services explicitly requested by the user. Where legally permitted, strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent.
Analytics technologies
Analytics technologies help us understand how Sharp Ledger is used. They may collect page views, Website visits, device types, browsers, general location, referring websites, Website interactions, feature usage and navigation. Analytics technologies are only activated after consent where applicable law requires consent.
Product and behavioural analytics
If introduced, product and behavioural analytics technologies could help us understand how people use Sharp Ledger's features and identify areas where the service can be improved. No such optional service is currently enabled. These technologies may measure clicks, feature usage, navigation, user journeys, session behaviour, scrolling and Website interactions.
Advertising and marketing technologies
If introduced, advertising technologies could measure the effectiveness of advertising and help us understand whether users arrive at Sharp Ledger after interacting with advertising campaigns. No advertising tracker is currently enabled. These technologies are considered non-essential and are only activated after appropriate consent where required.
4. Potential future optional services
None of the following optional services is currently enabled. Before introducing one, we will update the service inventory and policies, explain the provider and purpose, and ask for a new choice before optional tracking begins. Vercel hosting and infrastructure remain in use and are separate from Vercel Web Analytics.
Google Analytics
Provider: Google | Category: Analytics | Purpose: Website traffic measurement, usage analytics and Website improvement.
Google Analytics may collect page views, sessions, approximate location, browser information, device information, referring source and Website interactions. It uses first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions.
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes users | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<identifier> | Maintains session state | Up to 2 years |
Actual duration may be affected by browser restrictions and our Google Analytics configuration. Google Analytics is treated as a non-essential analytics service and is only activated where required consent has been obtained.
Vercel Web Analytics
Provider: Vercel | Category: Analytics | Purpose: Measuring Website usage, visitors and Website performance.
Vercel Web Analytics may process page views, visitor counts, referring websites, country, device type, browser, operating system and configured custom events. It is designed to operate without traditional visitor tracking cookies and uses privacy-focused techniques to generate aggregated analytics. Other Vercel technologies used to operate the Website may nevertheless process technical information necessary to provide, secure or deliver the service.
PostHog
Provider: PostHog | Category: Product Analytics / Behavioural Analytics | Purpose: Understanding how users interact with Sharp Ledger and its features.
Depending on our implementation, PostHog may use cookies, local storage, pseudonymous identifiers or other browser storage. PostHog may measure pages visited, events, clicks, user journeys, feature usage, navigation, sessions and Website interactions. PostHog may also be used for session replay where this functionality is enabled. Because PostHog can be configured in different ways, the exact identifiers and storage duration may vary according to our current configuration. Where consent is legally required, PostHog tracking will only be activated after consent.
Microsoft Clarity
Provider: Microsoft | Category: Behavioural Analytics | Purpose: Website usability analytics, interaction analytics, heatmaps and session recordings.
Microsoft Clarity may measure page views, clicks, scrolling, navigation, browser information, device information, sessions and Website interactions. Clarity may use cookies including:
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
| _clck | Stores a pseudonymous Clarity user identifier and preferences |
| _clsk | Connects page views into a Clarity session |
| CLID | Identifies when Clarity first encountered a browser |
| MUID | Microsoft browser identifier used for analytics and other Microsoft purposes |
| ANONCHK | Used in connection with Microsoft identifier handling |
| MR | Used in connection with Microsoft browser identifiers |
| SM | Used to synchronise Microsoft identifier information |
The exact cookies present may depend on browser, configuration and Microsoft services. Microsoft Clarity is treated as a non-essential analytics service and, where consent is required, is only activated after appropriate consent has been provided.
Meta Pixel
Provider: Meta Platforms | Category: Marketing / Advertising | Purpose: Advertising measurement, attribution and campaign effectiveness.
Meta Pixel may collect or receive information about Website visits, pages viewed, interactions with Website features, conversions, browser and device information, advertising identifiers, referring information and campaign interactions. Meta may use cookies or other identifiers to process information received through Meta Pixel and may combine that information with information it holds through Facebook, Instagram and other Meta services in accordance with Meta’s own policies. Meta Pixel is a non-essential marketing technology and will only be activated after consent where consent is required.
5. Summary of potential future services
All services in this table are currently disabled. Cookie names, durations and storage descriptions are examples of potential behaviour if a service is introduced; they are not a list of cookies currently set by Sharp Ledger.
| Service | Category | Cookies/storage | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Analytics | Yes | Required where applicable |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Analytics | Generally cookie-free | Managed under applicable law |
| PostHog | Product analytics | May use cookies/local storage | Required where applicable |
| Microsoft Clarity | Behavioural analytics | Yes | Required where applicable |
| Meta Pixel | Marketing / advertising | Cookies and/or identifiers | Required where applicable |
6. Cookie consent
The cookie banner appears when there is no valid saved choice, after 180 days, or when the optional-service setup changes. No optional tracking services are currently enabled. Accepting optional cookies records a preference for the current setup; it is not permission to activate unspecified trackers later. We will explain any new optional service and ask again before enabling it.
The banner provides these options:
- Accept optional
- Reject optional
- Cookie settings
Rejecting optional cookies will not prevent you from using the core functionality of Sharp Ledger. Strictly necessary technologies may continue to operate because they are required to provide services requested by you or to maintain Website security and functionality.
7. Analytics and marketing choices
The current controls save one optional-cookie preference because no optional services are enabled. If we introduce services with different purposes, we will explain them and provide appropriate separate choices before activation. Analytics or marketing consent will not be assumed from silence, inactivity, scrolling, continuing to browse or pre-selected options.
8. Changing or withdrawing consent
Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept or reject optional cookies, or save your selection. Rejecting optional cookies does not disable your account, calculators or articles. Closing the settings without saving does not change your choice. Choices apply to this browser and device, not to all devices signed into your account. No optional tracking is currently active. Any future optional integration must stop consent-based tracking when consent is withdrawn. Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before consent was withdrawn.
9. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to control or delete cookies. Depending on the browser, you may be able to view cookies, delete cookies, reject cookies, block third-party cookies, restrict cookies by website or configure alerts when cookies are being stored. Blocking all cookies may affect some Sharp Ledger functionality.
10. Local storage
Local storage is browser storage rather than a cookie sent with every request. Sharp Ledger uses it for settings you choose, including your theme, chart configuration, visible bet-log columns, staking or advisor settings, and your cookie preference. The cookie preference is stored under sl-cookie-consent for up to 180 days. Other saved preferences remain until you change them or clear your browser’s site data. If browser storage is blocked, the cookie choice can only be remembered in the current tab. Clearing site data may sign you out and reset preferences. No optional analytics identifiers are currently stored by the services listed above. Any future local storage used for non-essential tracking will be subject to the same consent controls as non-essential cookies.
11. Session replay
Session replay is not currently enabled. If introduced, services such as Microsoft Clarity or PostHog could provide session replay functionality. Session replay helps us understand how users navigate and interact with the Website and identify usability or technical problems. Where enabled, we aim to configure session replay so that sensitive information is not intentionally captured. Session replay technologies will only be activated after appropriate consent where legally required.
12. Third-party processing
If an optional analytics or advertising service is introduced, information it collects may be processed by that provider according to its own privacy policy. Potential providers include Google, Vercel, PostHog, Microsoft and Meta Platforms; none of their optional services listed above is currently enabled. Some providers may process data outside Malta or the European Economic Area. Further information about international transfers and third-party processing is available in our Privacy Policy.
13. How long cookies remain
Cookie duration depends on the relevant provider, the type of cookie, our configuration, browser restrictions, whether the cookie is session-based or persistent and whether you delete cookies manually. Some cookies disappear when the browser closes, while others may remain for months or longer unless removed. We periodically review the technologies used on Sharp Ledger and may update this Cookie Policy as our configuration changes.
14. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy where we introduce new technologies, a service provider changes, cookie names or durations change, Website features change, our analytics configuration changes or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on Sharp Ledger.
